Doubling Down on Smooth Production

Having two facilities minimizes the risk of project interruption

Risk is something every manufacturer has to contend with, whether that’s fiscal risk in the marketplace, or risk to the physical assets of the company. In fact, each year ISO-certified manufacturers are required to perform a detailed risk assessment to appropriately plan for catastrophic events and unforeseen circumstances.

Among other things, risk assessment analyzes the potential for the disruption of the product path, which can jeopardize the product or component, as well as the short- and long-term financial outlook of the manufacturer.

It makes it equally important for customers to ask a prospective PCB manufacturer, “What’s your backup plan?”

Here’s ours.

Niche has two identical facilities: one in Shippensburg, Pa, and one in Sarasota, Fla. These two facilities are set up with almost identical equipment and manufacturing software, so if a major disruption occurs at one location, production can resume at the other site with very little interruption.

In addition to the redundant equipment and software, these dual locations offer the same:

  • Quality Manager
  • ISO umbrella and registrar
  • Automatic Optical Inspection process
  • Enterprise system
  • And more
