Last week, Tim Rodocker, our new Business Development Manager, attended the IBEX 2025 marine industry conference and trade show in Tampa, Florida. He had the opportunity to introduce himself to the marketplace, learn about what’s developing in the industry, and spread the word about Niche Electronics.
He returned with the following exciting thoughts and observations:

A special shout out to potential clients I met on the floor. It was great discussing your needs and exploring how Niche Electronics can solve them with our local expertise in marine PCBA and harness manufacturing.
The energy at IBEX 2025 was electric. Everyone I talked to shared the same upbeat vibe. They see 2026 increasing over 2025. As rates fall, the marine industry is poised to roar back stronger than ever. Of course, the retrofit side of the industry is doing well as high rates mean less new boats and more repairs or updates to old ones. The beautiful Tampa Convention Center and waterfront views added to the experience.
Insights from the show reinforced this. The “Fast Forward” theme highlighted rapid innovations in propulsion, sustainable materials, and smart electronics. Over 700 exhibitors and 8,000 professionals gathered to accelerate product development. Events like the Marine Ideas Exchange sparked fresh thinking on leadership and technology. It’s clear the sector is charging ahead.
