NEW NICHE FACILITY IN MASSACHUSETTS

Upgrades and Renovations Underway

Niche Electronics has secured a new location for our Massachusetts production facility. The 11,000-square-foot space, located in Bedford, is just nine miles from the location we will be phasing out.

Our team is in the process of overseeing the build-out at the larger, climate-controlled building — a process that will include several upgrades and improvements:

  • A new configuration of our space and equipment for optimal production
  • Single-level manufacturing for convenience and efficiency
  • An Electro-Static Dissipative environment — incredibly important for reducing static electricity during manufacturing
  • New IT infrastructure to create fast, secure connections to corporate servers
  • State-of-the-art LED lighting

Our new location was selected to provide little disruption for employees, but huge advantages for our customers. Niche Electronics plans to be operating from our new Bedford facility on June 1. Stayed tuned for updates, photos and more.

Flexibility In Design: How Different PCBs Expand Options For Cost, Design, and Performance

There was a time when rigid printed circuit boards (PCBs) were the only option for electronic applications, and as such, products had to be designed to accommodate the board.

Now, two newer types of flexible PCBs provide unique characteristics and distinct advantages that have increased their use and enhanced the overall electronic design process by allowing a PCB to be configured to the product.
