Niche Team Pitches in to Support Neighbors in Recovery
On Friday, September 19, team members from Niche Electronics Florida joined with other businesses to help assemble emergency preparedness backpacks to benefit Equal SRQ Recovery. The effort involved the assembly of backpacks to support people navigating addiction and recovery, mental health vulnerabilities, and displacement during emergencies.
The backpacks contained donated items like flashlights, rain ponchos, first aid kits, personal hygiene items, and more
This project, as well as many others, was part of Fall For Sarasota, a community volunteer day organized by the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, of which Niche Electronics is a proud member.
Volunteers also received an orientation on Equal SRQ’s role as Florida’s first peer-led Red Cross Resiliency Hub.
“We recognize that wherever Niche is working, we’re part of a community, and the people here are our neighbors,” says Tim Rodocker, Business Development Manager at Niche Electronics. “Giving some time to help strengthen organizations that improve our community is a basic part of what it means to be a good neighbor.”
