JOB BRIEF

The SMT Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining automated SMT machines to assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) according to customer specifications and production schedules.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up and operate SMT machines (e.g., pick-and-place, stencil printers, reflow ovens, AOI equipment) based on job requirements
  • Load feeders, verify part numbers, and ensure correct component placement according to BOM and placement files
  • Perform first article inspection (FAI) and verify setup prior to production run
  • Monitor production runs for quality, machine efficiency, and adherence to process parameters
  • Troubleshoot and correct machine errors and placement issues during production
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and report issues to the maintenance team
  • Conduct visual inspection of assembled boards and assist with AOI/manual rework as needed
  • Follow ESD handling procedures and maintain a clean, organized workstation
  • Accurately document production data and maintain traceability records
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, quality, and production teams to meet project deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification a plus
  • 1–3 years of experience operating SMT equipment in an electronics manufacturing or contract manufacturing setting preferred
  • Familiarity with SMT machines (Yamaha and Samsung) preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, placement files, and bills of materials
  • Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards and ESD protocols
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and machine interface usage

JOB BRIEF

We are seeking a detail-oriented AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) Operator to join our electronics manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate advanced AOI systems to inspect printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) before and after reflow processes. You will collaborate closely with Quality Control, SMT (Surface Mount Technology), and THT (Through-Hole Technology) teams to ensure products meet customer and industry standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate AOI equipment to inspect SMT and/or through-hole PCB assemblies for solder defects, component misplacement, polarity, bridging, and other anomalies
  • Load programs and verify correct inspection criteria based on customer and internal documentation
  • Review AOI results, verify flagged defects, and determine true/false calls
  • Perform visual inspection and hand verification of suspect areas using magnification tools or microscopes
  • Record defect data and inspection results in quality control systems or logs
  • Communicate findings to SMT operators, rework technicians, and quality engineers for corrective action
  • Assist in creating and editing AOI inspection programs when needed (optional, based on experience)
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper handling practices in accordance with ESD procedures
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends or recurring issues

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or IPC certification preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience in PCB inspection or AOI operations in an electronics manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with AOI systems such as Mirtec and Yamaha (or similar)
  • Strong understanding of SMT components, PCB layout, and soldering standards (IPC-A-610 knowledge is necessary)
  • Excellent visual acuity and attention to detail

Warehouse employees are responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, focusing on electronics handling, shipping, and receiving processes. This role ensures efficient workflow, adherence to safety standards, and on-time delivery of high-quality kits and components. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations:

  • Supervise warehouse activities, including receiving, inventory control, kitting, and order fulfillment.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely receiving of electronics components, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with quality standards.
  • Coordinate kitting operations, ensuring components are picked, packed, and assembled accurately for production or shipment.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Inventory Management:

  • Collaborate with procurement and production teams to address shortages or discrepancies.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of electronics to prevent damage or contamination.
  • Adhere to all ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) and safety protocols.

Shipping 

  • Forward tracking information to the customer
  • Appropriately package products to prevent damage in transit
  • Transact shipments within ERP system

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of warehouse experience, including kitting and receiving; prior experience with electronics preferred.

JOB BRIEF

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Final Inspector. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, grow, and eventually take on leadership responsibilities within the company. You will assist in inspecting electronic assemblies and components, ensuring they meet our quality standards. Training will be provided on industry guidelines, equipment operation, and inspection techniques.  As you develop, you will also learn to guide others and communicate effectively across teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Inspection and Quality Control:

  • Learn to inspect electronic assemblies, including Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Through-Hole Technology (THT), following IPC-A-610 standards

JOB BRIEF

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Final Inspector to join our team. The Final Inspector will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards by inspecting Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Through-Hole Technology (THT) components. The ideal candidate will have expertise in reading BOMs, drawings, and inspection criteria, following IPC-610-STD guidelines to meet class 2 and class 3 standards. This role also requires the ability to perform testing, and collaborate with other team members to improve processes and maintain quality throughout production.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Inspection and Quality Control:

  • Inspect both SMT and Through-Hole Technologies according to IPC-610-STD Class 2 and Class 3 requirements
  • Read and interpret BOMs, drawings, and inspection criteria to verify product specifications
  • Follow IPC-610-STD to ensure high-quality standards and consistent product output
  • Perform process QA checks at SMT and Through-Hole workstations
  • Inspect and identify defects, ensuring the highest quality control in production

Equipment Operation and Testing:

  • Operate the X-ray machine to inspect boards for defects
  • Test boards with supervision and independently to verify functionality
  • Ensure that all equipment is properly calibrated and in good working condition
  • Record and enter job times accurately into the computer system

Leadership and Communication:

  • Educate other shop employees, providing guidance and support when defects are found
  • Communicate effectively with customers to address concerns and provide updates
  • Review defects with AOI technicians to identify and implement process improvements
  • Monitor quality and workmanship throughout the shop to maintain high production standards
  • Lead and train other inspection personnel

Documentation and Process Improvement:

  • Write and update work instructions for quality processes and standards
  • Print out controlled documentation as required
  • Review defects and collaborate with the AOI technician to enhance processes and reduce defects
  • Work with limited supervision, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Ensure production compliance with all quality procedures and standards

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Some higher education preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IPC-610-STD standards, especially Class 2 and Class 3 requirements. Certification preferred
  • Proven experience with both SMT and Through-Hole Technologies in a quality control or inspection role
  • Proficiency in operating various equipment, including X-ray machines, Scope, and Halo 
  • Ability to sit for extended periods to inspect boards using visual aids
  • Experience in reworking SMT and Through-Hole Technologies without supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and inconsistencies
  • Ability to lead and communicate effectively with both team members and customers
  • Capability to perform tasks with minimal supervision while adhering to strict quality standards
